in this country stand together and say enough is enough, I have in the past hour been reading about some chridren in Stoke on Trent are going to get food handouts from several churches as they are going hungry,
how on earth can this happen, I say to all of you get out there get of your arse*s and please shout out loud to
and clear no more will we be "****" on by those who have the power to change things
Average wages are always quoted at around £26,000, but I wonder what the average wage is if these top 0.1% of earners are removed from the calculations? I'm guessing it will be FAR lower.
February 02 2012 at 1:41 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyPersonally I don't care what people are paid as long these people pay TAX on their pay and bonuses, but they don't. Remember "that we're all in this together"?
Accountants and lawyers make sure that full use of ways-to-avoid-tax are made of, eg. off-shore banking etc.
The public fetter and herald footballers and celebs for doing just what the wealthy elite do, which is avoid tax!
The public can't have it all ways.
Most of the increase are offensive, MPs should do something about it but hang on they are overpaid and corrupt in the first place - catch 22 I'm afraid.
November 22 2011 at 6:24 AM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyMassive pay and bonuses paid to top dogs make a mockery of the production team that earn the money to pay them . If we look at the fat cat union leaders that receive over £100,000 ,this can't be right , because none are capable of negotiating without using strike action which cost's the members that pay this.
Top dogs obviously decide their own salary, this must stop and be regulated by law.
The main problem is created for pensioners by all this and most people become pensioners and find that inflation makes their pension decrease , this rat race to increase wages and prices must stop.
It will be your turn one day.
Where can I get one of these average pay jobs @ £25,900, never had one in my life,or any body I know ,the pay for an average worker is half or less than this quoted figure.I wonder if the government think we all make this kind of money, and assume we are all this to-gether.Maybe its the rich who get super duper inflation busting rises that claim this this is the average wage,so they dont look as bad,but somehow I dont think the greedy gits care anyway.
November 22 2011 at 5:46 AM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down Replywhere do they get this average wage from because anyone on minimum wage doing an 8 hour day will be on less than £13.000 per year , & these bosses should realise its the workforce thast makes a succesfull company not just the fat lump at the top of the pile
November 22 2011 at 5:02 AM Report abuse Permalink +5 rate up rate down ReplyThere are reports in todays Newspapers that the work force should help regulate Bosses pay. Well fine but I always thought the idea was that Shareholders would do this and the goal of any company was to give a return to those who invest in it. This includes State buying of shares too. That is one reason many people bought shares in the sell-off days as they thought they would get a return. My shares in one of these are about 10% of the value when I originally bought them. Let us get back to basics.
November 22 2011 at 5:01 AM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyThe rich get richer and ordinary people pay for it. Will the present government do anything about it? Well, they 've done a shady deal with the Swiss to protect tax havens; despite words to the contrary, they really would like to get rid of the 50p tax rate and they're certainly not going to do anything about the huge amounts of tax relief claimed by the rich so I suppose that's a nothing then. (They are their friends and relatives after all!)
