Here, we reveal 10 of the largest ever recorded lottery wins and the lucky individuals who claimed them.

1. Eddie Nabors
Americans Eddie Nabors of Georgia, and Elaine and Harold Messner of New Jersey, shared the US lottery Mega Millions jackpot of $390 million (£245 million) on March 6, 2007.
Nabors, a 52-year-old truck driver, said he planned to buy a house for his daughter, pay off mortgages for his mum and sister, and buy a fishing boat for his son.
2. The McCullars
Jim and Carolyn McCullar, of Washington, scooped the Mega Millions jackpot of $380 million in January last year.
Jim told reporters that he planned to pass his winnings on to his kids and donate to charity.
3. Holly Lahti
Lahti, of Idaho, also hit the Mega Millions jackpot last January, making her $380 million richer overnight.
The single mother went into hiding after her momentous win.
4. The meatpacking syndicate
Eight workers from a meatpacking plant in Nebraska won the Powerball (another US lottery) jackpot in 2006, and shared winnings of $365 million.
Two of the winners were immigrants from Vietnam, one from the Congo.
5. The Weirs
Colin and Chris Weir, a husband and wife from Ayrshire became Europe's biggest Lottery winners in July last year.
Married for 30 years, the life changing £161 million prize catapulted them into the Sunday Times Rich List above Beatle Ringo Starr and Sir Tom Jones.
6. The Dawes
Dave and Angela Dawes won the EuroMillions jackpot of £101 million in October last year. It was only the third time the couple, from Cambridgeshire, had played the Lottery.
7. The Scaddings
Les and Sam Scadding from Newport, South Wales, and a syndicate of seven Liverpudlian call-centre workers shared a staggering £91 million in November 2009.
Les, an unemployed mechanic, was £68 overdrawn on the day he bought his ticket, while the Liverpool syndicate only started playing EuroMillions together four months before their win.
8. Nigel Page
Page, 43, and his partner, Justine Laycock, 42, from Gloucestershire, scooped £56 million after sharing a EuroMillions jackpot of £113 million with just one other ticket that was bought in Spain in February 2010.
9. Cassey Carrington
Carrington, 22, from Stapleford in Nottingham, banked £45 million after matching all five numbers and two Lucky Stars in a EuroMillions draw in February this year.
The Iceland supervisor said she planned to marry painter fiancee Matt Topham, 22, following the Lucky Dip win.
10. The Bulls
Gareth and Catherine Bull, from Mansfield, won £40 million in January this year.
Gareth, 40, said he planned to splash out on an executive box at Manchester United and a new carpet.
