This week, she persuades Carphone Warehouse to offer £100 compensation to a customer whose credit file it failed to clear of inaccurate unpaid bill data.
Dear Fixer,
In 2008, I sent Carphone Warehouse a recorded delivery cancellation request for my then account.
Having spoken to the company customer services over the phone as well, I was assured that my account would be cancelled as requested and that I did not have anything to pay.

Unfortunately, however, my case was for some reason passed on to a couple of debt collection companies, which chased me until I provided them with the same proof of my account cancellation.
This part of my problem was finally resolved in September 2009, when Carphone Warehouse applied a refund, backdated to April 2008, to my former account and confirmed that it was now disconnected.
However, despite it promising to contact the credit reference agencies to remove any default notices from my credit file, this has still not been done and my credit score has been affected as a result.
Can you help?
B Patel, Harrow
Dear Mr Patel,
Carphone Warehouse has now confirmed that it has amended your credit file, removing all late payment and default marks relating to your former account. These amendments should already appear on your credit report.
As a gesture of goodwill, the company has also agreed to pay you £100 compensation for the problems you have had since cancelling your account in 2008.
A Carphone Warehouse spokesperson said: "We do everything we can to ensure that customers have a great experience when dealing with us but clearly on this occasion we did not live up to our own standards.
We would like to apologise to Mr Patel for any inconvenience this may have caused. We have ensured that Mr Patel's credit file has been amended and have offered him £100 as a small token of our apology."
