Government 'blamed for fuel prices'

When will people cotton on and realise that the Gov has/had no intention of putting up fuel duty. Simple fact is that when the "decide" not to do it for the good of the common man! they think everyone suddenly decides they are a decent bunch after all and can spout on about howe they are listening.

yes were NOT thick , but were broke and every oportunity cam /cleg get they trot out labours fault we in herited ---- yawn -- we have no money foir uk but plenty for mps /expences , wars/ the IMF giving ti other countries , look at those ppl in the factory listening to cam cleg STAGED set up , only the journalist spoke OUT to them those workers were scared to death to speak out and tell the TRUTH why cant we have real discussion with mps bbc question time is another prime example STAGED FOR CAMERA we need real ppll facing cameron no script or planning or spin PUT HIM ON THE SPOT WITH PPL FACTS

Like the French or not, there would be a revolution in France if they tried to introduce some of the things we put up with , apathy rules here.

ITS NOT JUST FUEL they only listen at election time then spin /waffle till all promised are gone and the do what they like to us 65 millionb ppl theres only 600 of em its time THEY LISTEND AND ACTED FOR WHAT WE WANT NOT THE EU NOT GIVING OUT TAX MONEY TO OTHER COUNTRIES OT THE IMF

It's not just the government that is to blame. Large retailers have wildly different pricing too. I live in a small
Welsh town with 2 large retail chains Tesco and Morrisons Diesel is currently £1.44.9 per litre but 30 miles away diesel is £1.41.9 per litre. There cannot really be that much difference in the cost of transport
between the two sites and the difference is simply that they know they can charge the higher price
because there is no competition here. It is simply greed as usual

The government can make a change to fuel prices true but don't forget the other side of the picture. Fuel at £1.42 a ltr = 0.85p (60%) for the government. 0.57 for the refinery (less a pittance to the forecourt).

Now the Shells' of the world can employ thousands, pay them £40K per annum and upwards, with full and 2/3rd final salary pensions, sickness schemes, holidays, employers NI contributions and still make £1.6 million in profits - PER HOUR!
Why can't they lower the price which will automatically lower the tax? Greedy b******s are worse than the government!

It costs big money to run this country, NHS, benefits, civil servants pensions etc etc. When the present government took over it was made very clear what state the country's economy was in and how tough things will be before any recovery. We all know this so why are some of you having so much trouble understanding ?

It's a shame we can't buy our diesel in France for £1.15 a litre every time we fill up, but we can use the web and get organised! For one month fuel should be bought from just one major outlet. eg Asda.

To counter their lack of sales Tesco would then drop their price. Now we all take advantage of their generosity.

The government know that they can hold the country to ransom over fuel prices, as most people like myself need a car to continue working. I have to do 34 miles round trip per day or lose my job. Public transport is a laugh. I would need to get 3 buses each way and set off to work 2 hours before I start and would not get home until after 7pm each evening plus it would cost me twice as much as the over priced fuel that I have to purchase in the first place. We need a change of leadership and chancellor.

It's all a big con and we all sit back and let it carry on like good sevant's, they are trying to make a devide.....PEASANTS AND TOFFS or SLAVES AND LORDS......................KCUF THEM ALL !!
