More lies - basically, a load of people simply stopped qualifying as unemployed but the reality is that they ARE still unemployed. Others might be UNDERemployed so the reality is that there are fewer people in full time work. Oddly, the government - whilst keen to continue handing out benefits to the rest of the EEA - is trying its damnedest to make sure that benefits are tightened up on for UK citizens. Their austerity measures have the stench of Tory about them. Basically, its a boys club that only promotes self-interest and that is totally out of touch. Why else would they increase the hours you need to work to qualify for working ta credits at a time when employers are cutting people's hours?

Itnot just that people are working part time. There may be jobs but they tend to be low pay, part time, unskilled jobs. No use to those with high level qualifications or looking for a professional career
It is a possability that the temerary paid jobs for the olympics may have something to do with most of it but it is only for a short time and what happens to those who took these jobs after the games I would imagine back to the job centres again and the new job figures will be down again this is only a temporary boost for the ETON MESS POSH BOYS .

THEY ARE TEN OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ON COURSES AND VOLUNTEER JOBS.
Precisely where were did these jobs come from? I think many of these people were just forced to go "self-unemployed" before being allowed to come back on as unemployed soon.
