You have obviously not read the story. All his family donate and raise money or work for this charity. Good on him as most of them keep the money for themselves. I have just decided not to bother to get worked up and make myself ill worrying about these people and their salaries and bonuses. It will never be stopped but i just congratulate people like this man and his family who know they are well off and try and help more unfortunate people .

Meanwhile, the rest of us struggle on and the FSA do very little to imporve the services (or cost of them!) from banks. Nice work if you can get it......
Most people would have to work 5 years to earn £145K, let alone 'give it away'.
"The outgoing chief executive . . . . ." - He's got to look to his future now.
June 21 2012 at 8:15 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhy the hell is he getting a bonus of that size!
June 21 2012 at 5:41 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhy is he getting a bonus at all,the Fsa is a limp wristed organisation that does f... all for consumers.
He gets a large salary already for doing little.
Banks get billions of cash to bail them out while consumers get hammered by them ,a reward for failure in my eyes.
its about time the bonus gravy train was stopped for good
Well done a true charitable gesture.
June 21 2012 at 1:35 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down Replyat least they will benefit from his bonus. This should now give the bank bosses now to give their bonus's to charity too
June 21 2012 at 1:07 PM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplySome bank people have - it makes more sense to take the bonus and donate it to a good cause than simply to decline it
June 21 2012 at 6:31 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyYou can't but be impressed can you. I am. It might well help him towards a gong, but I'm not complaining.
