I am not familiar with the banking system in this country, athough I am a Natwest customer . Is the bank making money on our money, our wages sitting in limbo? Do they earn interest or some such thing on money sitting on their books?

Everybody above this level, put your head between your legs an kiss your ar88 goodbye. Natwest/RBS/Paddy Bank we loved you when you deposited, but our computers say no. lol
June 23 2012 at 7:42 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWe have no complaint. My State Pension was due Friday June 22 and actually was posted late that evening; so, well done NatWest (for once!)
June 23 2012 at 10:26 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI had a dispute with RBS over a payment made, received by the Bank and signed for by the Bank. Subsequently I was contacted by 3 debt collectors at different times over "non payment". Finally made a formal complaint - took 9months for the Bank to acknowledge that they had made a mistake and no apology for all the distress caused of dealing with debt collectors. During the months I was waiting I sent the paper work to the Financial Ombudsman and to date have not even had an acknowledgment from that office.
So? Good luck to anyone trying to get anything from RBS/Nat West or help from the Financial Ombudsman's office.
No back up? No redundancy in systems? Not credible. Some really bad news buried in here. "Old banks" do have old IT systems, but this is no excuse. Hackers working for dark forces or a foreign power wanting to damage the reputation of the City?
June 23 2012 at 8:03 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyKeep records??? Isn't that supposed to be the banks job?
Didn't we used to have bank books issued ?
Looks more like a run on the bank.
