Why anyone invests in the airline busines is a mystery - if you add up all the profits and losses of the world's airlines since KLM started in 1919 the industry has not made a penny in profit - if the Wright Brothers knew in 1903 what we know now they would not have bothered !!!!.
British Airways is a bankrupt airline owned by a pension scheme - it owes its own pensioners more than the value of the business .
Just why is it that we have to see takeovers?
All that usually happens is shed loads of redundancies, then in a couple of years they run intofinancial trouble for bidding a too high a price; end result, an established airline carrier name disappears and we revert to high prices again!!!
I can't help it, every time I see the "R" word, I get really angry. Can't even type it. I would rather drive twice as far and pay double than fly with them. It's our fault, if enough of us didn't want to fly unpleasantly and cheaply, they wouldn't exist.

It must not be allowed for the good of the general public.
They should investigate the charges for "extras" in the process
