September 06 2012 at 4:36 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyExhorbitant council car park charges have done more to kill off high street shops than any other single cause. If the government wants to revive the economy councils should be forced to provide 2 hours free parking in towns and cities - Pickles, get it sorted.
September 06 2012 at 4:30 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyWell no need to increase income tax or cut most of the bloody economy ;the councils are collecting it all . No wonder our high streets have been savaged so much and betting shops ,pawn shops and empty shops abound ; Dim councils ;shame on them for all those years of debauchery , spending money wastefully and creating stupid non jobs with people struggling to find 10 hours a week of work ;net result , they are desperately short of money
