Stack of pound coinsA law firm is to give £100,000 towards a scheme aimed at helping unemployed young people find work.

Birmingham-based DBS Law said it will help fund the Prince's Trust Enterprise Programme, which supports unemployed young people aged 18-30.


Young people on the programme will go on a four-day course to learn the basics of business and will have the chance to pitch for low interest loans and long-term business mentoring support.

DBS Law managing director Rob Bhol said: "Last summer's riots highlighted a serious economic and social problem here in the city. One in four of our young people are neither in work nor education.

"As a patron of the trust we will support its Enterprise Programme, which will help hundreds of younger people from the West Midlands to build on a business idea and make it a business reality."
