We have a parliament that happily accepts wasting billions on useless and corrupt foreign aid. Billions supporting the EU gangters and their currency. Billions lost due to uncontrolled mass immigration, including far too much illegal immigration destroying all of our services (they get it for free, its their human right, not ours). Unneccesary wars, Supporting the blatant lie about Wind Farms and similar energy nonsense, and wasted billions upon just about every useless pet project that enters our political masters devious little heads. Shoppers efforts needed? While at the same time ensuring our workers lose their jobs by allowing anyone and everyone to take over our major companies ( 30 pieces of silver etc).

Foreign workers export money to their homeland. For each British worker left unemployed, this far out weighs any tax a foreign worker pays. High unemployment, low wages and useless management = poor economy.Along with immigration which over populates our country, costing £billions in benefits, causes congested roads, which adds costs in hours for goods to be distributed. Due to extra demand in energy, prices rise. Immigration and the free movement of mass labour has not helped this country one bit, in fact
it has ruined the quality of life for millions of its citizens.
Well, there's an earth-shattering statement - I would never have guessed - doh!

October 15 2012 at 5:26 AM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down ReplyAnd there was me thinking that it was all down to our rash extravagant consumer spending that caused the crisis in the first place; or that's at least what they want us to believe !!! - but we all know that those behind the bankers caused this - a deliberate move to get the most amount of people in debt; when in debt you are at their mercy!!! All in the master plan; but not all of us fell for it!!!
With all utiliy bills and petrol prices on the rise this will result in NO disposable income to speak of so unsurprisingly (if this story is true) there will be no recovery!!
So yet another story about absolutely nothing at all !!!
You are right about "when you are in debt you are at their mercy" - and the Govt/UK Plc, as we all know, is hopelessy in debt - our country is now more than ever being run by those bankrolling the nation (and the Govt dont even tell us who all of them are) - and we will do what they say whether we like it or not - i.e. so called 'austerity'
October 15 2012 at 5:19 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyNot all of us are scroungers as you seem to imply; many of us are just trying to survive with our small businesses which are suffering through NO FAULT of our own due to the impact of the credit crunch (bank greed not kept in check) and supposed Eurozone crisis!!!
I didn't run up huge debts nor did I support a government that allowed vast out of control immigration so to say I am p.i.s.s.e.d off having to pay for others irresponsibility, extravagances etc etc is a ******* understatement !!!
ndjohnson, UK Plc is going to be paying for the irresponsibility and extravagances of others for quite some time to come - years, if not decades - and if our Govt can't get to grips with borrowing pretty soon that 'payment' everyone will be making is going to become very much worse than it is now... What is the answer - emigrate. And I dont know your political alliance, but if you voted Labour in the 3 elections prior to 2010 then you need to accept some responsibility for the problems we are having now...
October 15 2012 at 7:55 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate downndjohnson - it was not small business that caused the financial crisis .
It was the bubble in the housing market -due to stupid bank loans - 82% of ALL the bank debts were incurred in the private house mortgage market .
The simple fact is the Government should make it ILLEGAL for banks to lend on private house mortgages - it should be the exclusive preserve of the MUTUAL building societies - not one of them had a problem - they have served that function perfectly well for 150 years .
Well, many years ago when the Halifax was a building society, we voted against it becoming a bank as it happens; my view was short-term gain (greed) long-term pain. Those words have come home to roost. As a result we had to accept the payout but soon after changed to the Nationwide - I've since paid the mortgage off and was neither persuaded or interested in "up sizing" to a bigger property as I could see where this was going to end (and no, I'm no economist but do have a logical brain with common sense!!!) In answer to sheppeygrant, the answer is that the public should be asking as to where our public money has been misappropriated over the last thirty odd years!!! I'm sure neither of the parties would like to address that point!!!...and no, I did not vote and never have voted Labour!!! What the public haven't worked out is that the real power behind these banks deliberately wanted as many people in debt; that was their ulterior hidden agenda. I'm sure you can work out as to why???
October 15 2012 at 8:36 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate downErnst & Young's ITEM Club believes that recent trends of falling inflation and rising employment levels should boost consumer demand and help the UK grow by 1.2% next year, compared with a GDP decline of 0.2% this year ... where do they get there figures from? 2 places round here have let 1600 people go . where is the falling inflation as they say food prices are set to rocket due to the wet summer & autumn, plus gas & electric is going up approx 8% . the only reduction in unemployment is into part time work which means the workers need top ups from the government , which means they are still on the breadline
October 15 2012 at 4:54 AM Report abuse Permalink +3 rate up rate down ReplyYes and the government don't mention much about the real big benefit bill is for Tax Credits mainly and not the rise in the disability benfit bill. Most of the figures are being manipulated and don't give too much credit fro ONS numbers either as i believe they are all in together.
