November 20 2012 at 2:07 AM Report abuse Permalink +1 rate up rate down ReplyTHE AUSTERITY MEASURES ARE NEEDED. BUT MUST START WITH THE TOP GOVERNMENT FIGURES AND THE HOUSE OF LORDS
THE RICH AND LARGE COMPANIES WHO DO NOT PAY ADEQUATE TAX MUST ALSO BE HIT FIRST.
HAHAHAHA NOT A CHANCE!
Yet voters still vote for politicians that are out of touch with reality

November 19 2012 at 4:21 PM Report abuse Permalink -3 rate up rate down ReplyWe are having to accept these austerity measures while our government give the EU 81 Billion for our membership,of which we get nothing back, what a load of bloody idiots have we got running this country.
November 19 2012 at 4:05 PM Report abuse Permalink +5 rate up rate down Replyterryg89 - these bloody idiots you refer to are Labour, Tory and Lib Dems who amongst them got over 90% of the votes last time - all 3 parties are in favour of the EU as party policy - the Tories have around 80 anti EU MP's , Labour a handful and the Lib Dems none - so why will anything change next time - short of a UKIP landslide - and last time they got 3 % .
So at best you can expect a differnt bunch of idiots running the country - with no real difference in practice
And doesn't that just put our politics into perspective. We can't trust any of them anymore !
November 19 2012 at 10:28 PM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate downausterity measures thats a cheap conservative joke tell the rich idoits in charge that charity begins in england not giving away tax payers money in foriegn aid to all and sundry
lstill as long as it does not effct there standard of living they probably could not care 2 hoots about the rest of us ROOL ON ELECTION TIME WHEN THEY AND THERE CAHOOTS CAN BE KICKED OUT OF POWER
driver - whether this Government is in power or not afterr the next election makes no difference to what we give away in Overseas Aid - we legally committed in 2004 to give 0.7% of GDP rising in future to 1% of GDP in Overseas Aid - al any Government can do is decide the recipient - but it can't legaly reduce the total amount - Gordon Brown ( then Chancellor ) legally committed the UK to this at the G20 Summit in 2004
