HAHAHAA More like enslaved to you, customers have a choice where to go to spend their hard earned cash!!!
How would the nosey busybodies be able to dob you into the police. It won't make their daily investigative stroll around the village exciting anymore and then they'll stop going out!

Police cars are fitted with ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) which is running constantly, checking all cars that pass within range. This is what currently alerts police to non-tax payers. It will still do this.

They won't be able to see whether its in date or not so will they have to scan every single car to keep up the figures?

It's not obligatory to use these gadgets in order to have a good life these days!....lol
If they go to the Post Office/post the form to tax their vehicles, they will still be able to do this in the future,
