The Coop: an organisation masquerading as an ethical organisation and often behaving in completely the opposite way... and it's not just the bank..

January 05 2013 at 8:00 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe whole thing is ludicrous. The bank saying their 'procedures have fallen short of the high standards expected of us'. If those high standards existed they would not owe anyone a penny in PPI claims, because those claims are based on PPI having been missold in the first place. PPI is only owed if it was originally sold in a fraudulent manner, so clearly this is not the first time the bank has ripped its customers off else it would not have to re-pay any money in the first place.
We are all living endlessly with the consequences of appalling greed and total lack of morality on the part of the banks. The political parties play football with policies blaming each other in turn, when the real problem is the greed of those who already have way more than they need (some of whom are politicians, obviously!). The greed of bankers selling sub-prime loans leading to a global situation of wage freezes for the rest of us while the bankers who caused it all retire and take massive golden handshakes and the expense of it all gets passed to the ordinary working men and women in the form of price increases and unemployment. Of course, we can get out of it by taking out a 'pay day loan' when the ends don't meet in the middle and some banker charges 1800% APR against a base rate of 0.5%. It would be lovely to take all our money out of the banks, but we are stitched up there too, companies refuse to pay us in cash because they claim the expense of having the cash delivered is too much (i.e. it will reduce shareholder's profits).
Ultimately it's simple. This planet has finite resources and humanity has a choice - it can learn to divide the resources more equally so that all people can get what they need or it can continue to allow a tiny proportion of the population to control the vast majority of the resources while the rest of us scrabble about trying to get what we need from what is left over.
Where are people going to learn that the banks are never going to work fair? I keep saying/telling people to take their money out of the banks that way they’re up **** creek. Believe me if their no money in the bank, then HTF can they survive? It's simple everybody just take the money out, after all it's your money their playing with just like the government, they use the money that you and I, pay in tax to fund their extravagant lifestyles. Everything is Free for these bas***ds including hotels, B&Bs, food and drink, plus free BUS TRAIN PLANE ETC. ETC. These fuc**rs give the elderly a pass for free travel, BUT it’s only for a bus as far as I’m aware. While these cu**s gets free plane/train/bus/taxis/limos etc. PLUS free heating and rent.
Therefore unless you people listen to me and stop putting your money in the banks, and protest against the government spending money that’s supposed to be for hospitals, and other major infrastructure, and have all the freebies and these so called leaders are all fuc***g millionaires.
The delay can only be because of a specific directive from the very top. If the claim is real, and money is owed, then the Senior Management is guilty of Fraud/Theft. Surely criminal action should follow???
