Wel bearing in mind online purchases are growing by 10% per annum it is obvious that sales through shops will be falling - people are stil spending - they are simply spending in a different way .
Sales of boat tickets have been falling for decades - not because people are not travelling - because they are travelling by air not by sea- very few croos the Altantic in ships these days - I stil buty as many books as i did in the past , probably more but I buy them on line - not from bookshops - the same applies to many people
COULD"NT BE BECAUSE OF THE FALL IN THE NUMBER OF SHOPS COULD IT?
