I hold about £15,000 in investment funds and am concerned that my money is not being invested in an ethical manner. Are ethical funds worth the money or should I go for a fund with good performance which invests in a "light green" way, so I know I'm not funding arms dealers!

It is not uncommon these days for people to be concerned about how their money is invested, making the connection that their money could end up invested in companies whose policy and products are alien to the investor's beliefs.
These days there is a good choice of funds to choose from and many have been in the top performers this year so it is not necessary to compromise on performance because of your ethical stance.
It is also possible to invest in funds with a range of risks such as corporate bonds on the safer side or alternative energy funds for more risk.
Many of the funds are looking forward to future trends (such as the effects of climate change) so are well positioned for the future. To pick a good ethical fund you need to find one whose mission statement or aims are akin to your own and to look at the types of research they carry out and the performance.
You could use an adviser who specialises in ethical funds who will be able to direct you.
