1. Never reply to phishing e-mails.
These pretend to come from banks or card companies, asking for account details and information such as passwords and account numbers. Some also contain links that go through to replica websites which ask for personal information to be entered. Often, these scam sites pretend that they need the data as part of a security review or to update their records. The give-away is no reputable organisation asks for this information out of the blue. Delete these e-mails immediately and inform the organisation that it pretends to come from.
