Debra Williams from Tescocompare.com commented: "Moving home is usually a stressful time, no matter whether you are a homeowner or renter. But there are many things you can do to take the stress out of moving and save yourself some money. Making sure you have the right home insurance in place for your new home can offer you peace of mind and shopping around for the most competitive policy can also save you money. The same applies to utilities, a new home often means different usage when it comes to gas and electricity and switching utility provider can prove to be a great money saving step."

move without your partner after a long relationship, take only the pick of items and your own personal treasures so you do not have too much to shift, then your partner has all the junk to sort out and you can claim she/he has done well out of you because you did not take much from all the years and left behind so much.

Label your boxes with large labels with contents and which room.. allow as much time between exchange and completion.. Write lists endlessly LOL and tick each thing when done..deep breaths/ yoga/. glasses of wine help too! Plan ahead as much as you can... and try and not get too uptight..
